It’s not all about electronic music in Berlin. In fact you will not find a better place in Continental Europe to choose from a great range of Indie and Rock shows everyday, be it the newest hot shit out of the blogosphere or some well known old friends who share their new songs. Magnet Club is one of these places where both can happen easily. Situated at Greifswalder Straße in the southern part of East Berlin district Prenzlauer Berg, the club features shows and parties all week and attracts a crowd that likes to hear some guitar tunes when going out. Apart from the two floors the venue also has a cosy outdoor area for all those who prefer to chill with a beer while bands and DJ’s make people dance and sweat inside. Magnet Club opened its doors in 2001, after the premises had been used for a Jazz Club and – still earlier – for the Magnet department store, which was particularly known for its fashion shows.
