The Makemakes

It’s a chilly Sunday morning when we walk up Mönchsberg. High above Salzburg we meet a young man in a priest’s vestment, who is about to take us on a tour through the city and to show us his favourite places. The man is called Dodo and not only a part-time priest, but also Christoph Waltz’ lost son and the singer of The Makemakes. The Salzburg-based band almost topped the Austrian charts this year with their #2 single “Million Euro Smile” and are on the best way to become the next big name in Austria’s pop scene. But before conquering Austria and the world, priest Dodo shows us around in his city and leads us to Petersfriedhof, the Salzburger Dom and Franziskanerkirche, where he takes over the church organ to play some Bach tunes.
