Brian Hunt

It has not been long since we have made Brian Hunt’s aquaintance. He’s actually a member of the most popular Spanish band Russian Red. So when we met Russian Red for a filming session in Madrid, Brian Hunt let it drop that he is also making music under his name and that he was about to to visit a record shop to hand out his new 7-inch vinyl. So one fine spring day we accompany him to the charming Radio City Discos, where he performs the opening song “Corner Flag” of the collab disc “Starrs on 45 – Muy Fellini vs. Brian Hunt”. The song is dedicated to his English dad, who moved to Spain because of love. Sitting on a small stool in front of a great music collection Brian thus vividly mimics his father’s words: “There, there, little Brian, just be a brave soldier son.” Bringing up childhood memories, this intriguing performance keeps resonating in our ears.
